On Film: Kevin and Stephen's Danfords Wedding
Not too long ago I shared Kevin and Stephen's wedding with all of you. Well, I just received their film scans, and they're gorgeous. (Y'all know how much I love film.) I am SO happy with how these turned out even though we were shooting at midday with NO shade!
For most photographers shooting digital, this is where we start hyperventilating and run for open shade, or it's time to break out the extra flash for fill. But on a dock with limited space, that wasn't an option... With film: No shade + bright sun = NO PROBLEM! This was a true test for film's latitude in these situations. It passed with flying colors.
Port Jefferson was the PERFECT backdrop for these photos, and Kevin and Stephen (now officially the Juliano's) were absolutely AMAZING to photograph! I cannot wait to see what adventures they go on in their journey together.

The technical: All were scanned by Indie Film Lab in Alabama. Shot with either a Mamiya 645afd with an 80mm 2.8 or 55mm 2.8 or a Fuji GS645 with a 75mm 3.4. All on Kodak Portra 400 +1 and exposed for shadows.
